Do you have a woman in your life whose story has inspired you or who has made a personal impact on you? In honor of Women’s History Month, we invite members and our BGLA community to share a women in their life they would like to show appreciation by sharing #HerStory with us!

Black Girls ELEVATE Summit
We are creating an 5-day summitfor our BGLA Mentees and greater community to enhance their leadership skills, community resources, professional network, and best practices on the following areas: Professional Development, College Resources, Financial Literacy, & Career Readiness. Our summit will end with a virtual career panel of professional black women.

Thankful for Relationship
As we close out the year, relationships seem to be that much more important. Our “Thankful for Relationships” Challenge is meant to inspire community members to nurture the unique relationships they have in their lives, starting with themselves, family, friends, intimate partners, and their community.

Paint with a Twist of Culture
Mentees & Mentors will discuss and understand the importance of self-identity, cultural influence, and how to define themselves through the expression of art as Black girls & women.

Mind, Body & Soul
Mind, Body, Soul. Mind features a special guest speaker who discuss the importance of our minds and our mental Health as Black girls & Black Women. Body will encompass movement within our bodies and yoga components. Soul will focus on how we nurture our inner selves.

Vision Board Party
Our vision board party focuses on creating a safe space for participants to establish and identify what is important to them and how to prioritize their goals so that they can accomplish them.

Financially Lit Fridays
In honor of Financial Awareness Month, every Friday in April we will host conversations discussing the Importance and awareness of financial literacy amongst Black women and girls.

Mentorship Circles
Our Mentorship circles are purposefully created to discuss any concerns mentors and mentees are having while building community within the program.
