Our Mission

Black Girls Leadership Academy seeks to build the self-esteem and self-worth of Black girls by changing their outlook on life, broadening their horizons, and helping them to empower themselves and others. We value the opportunity to enrich the lives of young girls and women aged 11 to 24 years old through mentorship, arts, education, cultural exploration, and community service.

We aim to achieve our Mission in 3 core ways:

Access

By providing each young girl or woman access to ongoing mentorship with a leader who share similar professional and personal interests. We understand that mentorship is a vital resource to one's personal development.

Enrichment

By providing enrichment programs and leadership trainings that will cultivate the cultural identity of Black girls and women through community building, age-specific curriculum, and cooperative learning opportunities.

Opportunity

By providing ample opportunity for young girls and women to personally develop local and global community service projects that will add value to our communities and shape their character.

We are building young Black women leaders by prioritizing their emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being while providing cultural learning.
