Learn how you can become a Mentor or Mentee

We aim to achieve our Mission in 3 core ways:

Access

By providing each young girl or woman access to ongoing mentorship with a leader who share similar professional and personal interests. We understand that mentorship is a vital resource to one's personal development.

Enrichment

By providing enrichment programs and leadership trainings that will cultivate the cultural identity of Black girls and women through community building, age-specific curriculum, and cooperative learning opportunities.

Opportunity

By providing ample opportunity for young girls and women to personally develop local and global community service projects that will add value to our communities and shape their character.

Why you should join BGLA

I’ve really enjoyed BGLA as a mentee because not only do I get to learn about my mentor but I get to share things about my life and it was a really open and safe space to express feelings and talk about accomplishments and much more. I hope I can continue and grow on this journey!

I appreciate that you ladies thought enough about the young black women in the world who long to be connected. This is amazing. Thank you for all that you have done, are doing and will continue to do.
